National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) traces its origins back to the establishment of the Advanced Academy of Agronomy and Forestry in 1919, making it one of Taiwan's oldest and the third-largest research-oriented comprehensive national university in the country. NCHU comprises 11 colleges, the International College of Innovation and Industry Liaison, and 57 research centers. The university owns four experimental forest stations, two agricultural experiment stations, and one livestock experiment station, encompassing a total land area of over 8,000 hectares. The university has about 870 full-time faculty and about 16,064 students, with graduate students constituting approximately 43% of the total student population.
